CHALLENGE

What is the monthlycrypto.art challenge?

Well, its just that: a monthly challenge of artistic skill pitting the community of crypto artists against one another. The prize is a pool of crypto summed together by all contestants through the Prize Pool Fares. The prize pool is directly dependent on the number of total participants. Winners are chosen based on a simple majority voting system, if you've entered the challenge or paid the fare, you get a vote. Paying the fare is required to vote, but not required to submit pieces of art. The prize pool will then be distributed 50/25/25 to those voted first, second, and third by their respective peers. All payments are non-refundable.

What are the rules?

The Rules are simple and as follows:

  1. All pieces submitted must be original to the person submitting the piece.

  2. Submitted pieces must fit the crypto and or specified months theme.

  3. All payments/transactions are final and non-refundable.

  4. Artwork must be submitted in a common image format such as .png, .jpg, .pdf, etc. File size must not exceed 100 MB.

  5. All winning pieces will be posted publicly in the monthlycrypto.art gallery along with the pieces name, artist credit, and month won for up to 18 months after winning.

  6. Hate and or disrespect will not be tolerated

  7. Any piece is subject to being removed from contention at the discretion of the admin team if deemed necessary to the benefit of the community.

What if there is a tie?

The pieces that were voted as a tie will be voted on 1v1 to see which will take the winning spot.

Why do I have to pay?

The process of how our challenges work is tuned to allow the community as a whole (artists, art connoisseurs, and generous donors) to participate in a fair and supportive way. This is achieved by charging a participation fee ("The Prize Pool Fare") from each participant. The prize pool (separate prize pools for each months contest) consists of the sum of all participants Prize Pool Fares

Why is the prize split like that?

Our goal here at monthlycrypto.art is to encourage artists to create at the highest level of their ability, we figure the best way to do that is to provide ample incentive to compete at a high level for a larger payout.
